We are seeing some of the major impacts of climate change – warmer days, more intense storms, flooding, and drought. Some of the less visual impacts of climate change include the spread of diseases, food safety, longer allergy seasons, new invasive pests, mental health impacts, and more. On Friday, September 13th, the One Climate Future Team hosted guest speaker, Dr. Nirav Shah, the Principal Deputy Director for the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention and former Director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, to discuss these unseen changes of a warming climate.
